Other Name: Elvine Wood Nymph
Peak Sighting Season: Early June and early July; midday, with sun directly overhead
History: Little is known of Eugenie, except that she is a guardian of trees and taht she changes color and markings to blend with her surroundings. She is also known as a mischeif maker.
Lure: Pencils
Notes: I found a clearing in the forest, where I set up my tripod and placed my journal on a tree stump to make notes. I walked off into the woods to take some photos, and when I returned, my pencil was gone. So I pulled out another pencil and wrote for a minute. When I turned my back to get out my camera, I heard a noise. I whirled around. My pencil had vanished again! My heart began to pound. I pulled out another pencil and purposely turned around, pretending to retrieve something from my bag. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Eugenie speed by, snatch up the pencil, and hide behind a tree. I walked toward the tree, and she came out from behind it. She laughed at me and sprinted away. When I returned to the clearing, my notebook was gone.


This description was taken from a book called "The Fairies", by Suza Scalora. I was reading through it and that's how I became inspired to do this picture.

Very nice textures in this. ANd the disaturated colour is also a nice addition.

thing that might need work

+The trimming on her shoulder is a bit off
+I almost feal theres to much to take in maybe a slight blur on the background.

But a nice idea. Good sense of fun

the fairy queen was bored with the life she had in the spirit garden with the other fairy spirits, one day she wanted to venture into the land of the freestyle flowers. upon entering the forbidden land she become overcome with the murph and the comedic value of the relativity of the plant species and their pointlessness. she tried to run from the comedy but instead she found her tormentors/ or the butt of her humour - depending on how u view the situation, would not leave the trace of the scent, so to speak. she found that wherever her shadow had the misfortune to blind, the flowers would follow as if they were dogs following the scent of an accused murderer. the sun was tormented by the bleeding of the roses. the blood being shed from the doubt of the fairy regarding the validity of her situation was reflected in the bleeding of the flowers sniffing after her footsteps. nothing was found regarding the ending of this story. stories are currently circulating suggesting that the rose heads are in fact suggestive of fishheads symbolising the confusion surrounding this spontaneous story.

Very nicely done. The only thing I would possibly change is the border. I think a white border might work better, not sure though. :P
