Model: Joe C.

This series is vaguelly based off Diane Arbus's photo of a drag queen in curlers. I, however, put it in my own style which is a little more dolled up and beautiful with the utmost respect twords the reality in her pictures.

Diane's image

My second image in the series

Looks very genuine! I'd have thought he was an actual crossdresser had you not explained otherwise. Great capture. There's such intensity in his eyes. Very gorgeous and honest photo.

I think I prefer the image in color, this one is interesting to look at, but I like the more subtle image. Nice job.

ummmm....well i cant really feel this picture....[in my opinion] i dont think you are getting across what a drag queen is. a real one. to me he looks like a man who let his girlfriend dress him up as a joke.
...well the whole point of men who are really trying to convince the world [and themselves] that they are women is for them to look like women. now i get that in this picture he is in the process of woma-fying himself but he has a full goatee which makes me think that hes just doing this for the picture and that hes not really a queen....
i give you an "A" for effort though!

Hah! Here's the funny thing.. Joe's gay and absolutely loved the hell out of dressing up! Interesting that you think he looks like his girlfriend forced him to dress up though.. Perhaps the goatee is just a ploy for the outside world? :p

hmmm i wondered that actually [lolz!!!] i think [if you have any plans on continuing the series] you should have a shot of him like...shaving off his goatee and you can call it 'becoming the queen' or something....just a thought. i like the idea of the pictures!!!
:iconx-gloomcookie-x:
That's a fantastic idea!!!
We debated taking it off for the shoot, but we decided against it in the end since we didn't have any propper shaving equipment at my house.
